BACK COOLING
Water / Alcohol Injection - all E36 and E46

Water Alcohol injection is the solution to the heat soak problem in boosted cars. Supercharges generate considerable amounts of heat during operation and tend to "heat soak" the engine reducing and hampering performance. Water alcohol injection helps maintain the intake charge at a cooler temperature and decreases heat soaked effects. Turbo cars also benefit from water alcohol injection.

Additionally, the water/alcohol mixture increases the knock limit of the engine - thus serving as "insurance" against high boost and detonation. Whether its for running high boost, or keeping your engine cool, water injection is a definate mod for a forced induced car.

The Water / Alcohol Injection kit includes:

  • Remote trunk 2.0 gallon reservoir with inline filter and low pickup tube
  • Removable tank with BMW trunk mounted hardware
  • Starter bottle of alcohol
  • Specified fuel lines
  • Active Autowerke high pressure pump
  • Aquamist nozzle with spiral cut grooves
  • Aquamist ONE-WAY "Check Valve"
  • Adjustable, calibrated pressure Hobbs switch
  • Electrical wiring, relay and all stainless connections
  • Light activated ON switch
  • CD instruction manual
The Active All Aluminum Racing BMW Radiator - E36 M3

The E36 M3 aluminum racing radiator designed, tested and proven in the new Active Autowerke Race Program. The core feature of this racing BMW radiator is not only of greater capacity but of improved cooling performance in the core design = winning attribues under arduous conditions in the racing world.
Design features contribute also to street user for longevity over the OE plastic model with all the attributes of the racing performance. All with a simple bolt in procedure, no cutting or modifications needed. A must for the serious BMW entusiast.

BMW M3 E36 Racing All Aluminum RadiatorComponents:

  • Proven product under race conditions
  • As used on Active 600 HP street cars with a/c
  • No more plastic parts to break
  • Greater holding capacity
  • Modified fan shroud included
  • No other modifications required for installation
  • 1 Year Warranty with Free Tech Support
Larger Radiator - E36 325i / 328i / M3

Looking to get a grip on that cooling system. This radiator holds more than the original factory unit by 22%. The radiator has an extra row of cooling fins that creates this extra capacity.

All outside dimensions remain the same for a easy, drop-in upgrade. Installation of the fan shroud and coolant reservoir remains.

A matching upgrade to the AA Oil Cooler.
M50 Water Pump - E36 325i / 328i / M3

On earlier M50 engines, the water pump may have a plastic impeller. If equipped, this impeller will definitely develops cracks around the water pump shaft causing the impeller to disengage from the water pump shaft.

A upgraded water pump with a metal style impeller is needed to correct this problem.
One cannot check this impeller if plastic or metal, since the water pump is a cartridge style unit and slides into the engine block to be mounted. The easiest way to verify is to inspect the impeller when the thermostat is removed. The impeller blades and condition will be evident.
M50 Hi-Performance Thermostat - E36 325i / 328i / M3

Overheating can be a detriment to the M50 engine:
  • Radiator upper hose outlet break off
  • Thermostat housings that are made of plastic, prematurely cracks
These problems can be corrected especially if the car resides in hot, torrent temperatures like Florida, Texas, or on the race track.
By installing a lower 71 degree thermostat, the engine reaches operational temperature earlier and runs cooler from the start. In effect, there is less thermal stress on the cooling components.

NOTE: Installation of this thermostat is only recommended for extreme heat conditions like being in a race, or torrid high ambient temperatures. Installation in colder climates may render the heat to be inoperative, or experience too long a delay and is not recommended.
M50 Hi-Performance Thermostat Housing Cover - E36 325i / 328i / M3
Do not wait for the factory thermostat hsg cover to break and cause major overheating. Even with a new BMW cover, it still breaks because of the plastic construction.
Install the all aluminum thermostat housing cover and never experience this type of failure again. Constructed of all aluminum with a CNC machined surface ensures a precise seat. Forged to exact tolerance makes this unit truly an easy direct bolt to the factory replacement.

It is ideal for racing, or load conditions like heavy traffic, where the engine temperature can rise rapidly. This unit is guaranteed not to break from overheating, or over tightening.
Simple, efficient, thoughtfully engineered!
Housing comes complete with a new sealing gasket. A new thermostat is recommended but not included.
M50 Oil Cooler Kit - E36 325i / 328i / M3
Powerful engines or race like conditions create a higher operating engine temperature when compared to stock. This high engine temperature can become critical if not monitored.

Overheating can be detrimental to the M50 engine:
  • Oil temperature rises dramatically
  • Once the temperature rises it becomes very hard to cool
  • Oil viscosity drops
  • Oil lubricating quality becomes questionable
These problems can be corrected especially if an oil cooler is installed:
  • Oil temperature runs cooler than before
  • Engine oil is now cooled by rushing outside air
  • Oil capacity is increased by the addition of these components
  • Engine bay temperature runs cooler
These problems are not only corrected, but the engine overall condition is improved. By installing an oil cooler, the engine ability to hold more oil is also increased. In effect, less thermal stress on the engine internals occurs.

OIL COOLER KIT includes:
  • BMW Oil cooler
  • BMW Oil cooler head assembly upgraded
  • BMW Oil cooler lines connecting head to cooler
  • AA mounting bracket kit (not mounted to radiator)
  • AA installation instructions
Coolant Pipe Fitting (CPF) - Engine conversion M3 3.2 to M3 3.0
Upgrading a 1995 M3 3.0 with a 1996- M3 3.2 engine can become complex. There are a lot of little things that can be overlooked.

One of the most overlooked items is the heater hose that runs under the intake manifold to the engine front cover.

The 1995 M3 engine front cover use a flange with rings. This flange connects the heater hose to the front cover.

On the 1996- M3, the engine front cover does not have a flange, but the heater hose is replaced by a heater pipe. This pipe connects and seals to the front cover by a o-ring seal.

Simple ... But Efficient
  • Retain your 1995 M3 heater hose, clamps, and hardware
  • No need to upgrade to other pipes, seals, or hoses
  • CPF provides a simple and efficient solution
  • Problem solved in minutes
