What Active Auotwerke has for the E46 M3 is a clutch system that WORKS. It holds the power; it will not fail even at 500 HP on the S54 engine; remember, the stock clutch is designed to only handle 340 HP.

Tried, tested and proven; this is the flywheel that has helped powered a lot of Active Autowerke turbo BMW's to over 600 + BHP. Used since 1996 to date, this is a winning, NO PROBLEM product that will deliver.
It's designed to help create for a quicker engine response and the ability to hold up under high engine output. It is the answer to all E36 M3s with high power solutions requiring a lightweight flywheel.
The 12lb Active flywheel creates a "feeling as if your BMW engine is balanced due to the much lighter rotational mass on the end of the crankshaft."
A Active Autowerke exclusive feature, All Active Autowerke GEN 3 Aluminum flywheels have a securing feature for the dowels that retain the pressure plate to the flywheel.
GUARANTEE - The Flywheel pins will not fly out under any circumstance to cause harmful damage. This is a AA exclusive feature built in to all AA Gen 3 flywheels.
This flywheel features:

Have a Forced Induction system producing up to 400+BHP? After extensive testing, this is the only clutch kit that has the clamping force necessary to eliminate slippage while still maintaining a factory like pedal feel for everyday driving. While primarily designed for high output M3s, this combination is very well suited for the every day drive requiring something more robust to the factory.
On a 1995 M3 with an Active STG2 turbo kit installed, the stock factory clutch will usually last approximately 15 minutes under hard acceleration.
This clutch kit is recommended to be used in all AA systems Stage 2, Stage 2+, up to 500HP.

When your E36 M3 has close to 600 BHP and it is still your daily commuter you will need a clutch kit that CAN HOLD THE POWER and not slip.
Dyno tested at 600+ BHP, this Cintered Bronze 4 Puck disc when used with the AA Turbo Pressure Plate does transform this type of power without any form of slipping. This combination is proven and tested. Slipping is not considered an option.
Due to the nature of bronze against steel contact, the clutch engagement becomes instant making the engine stall at times.

The "Achilles Heel" to the E36 drivetrain line is the single, main mounting bolt holding the differential in place.
This diff mounting design makes for the diff bolt to breaks very easily under any extreme driving condition. Some bent or broken bolts can be extracted, if not, then removal of the differential to extract the broken bolt becomes necessary.
The DSB can be easily installed in under one hour.
Labor time based on a qualified tech performing install.

This is Active's new Short Shift Kit that is quicker than stock but has a smooth shift feel as well. This kit comes complete with the AA Short Shifter, the AA signature Shift Knob, a modified carrier assembly, mounting hardware, and an illustrated manual for installation.
